How it plays

There is nothing to read and nothing to count. On your turn you draw a card, see which color it shows, and move your gingerbread man to the next matching space on the winding path. Along the way you pass sweet stops like Cookie Commons and the chunky Chocolate Mountain. Whoever reaches the castle first wins the game.

We made this for the very youngest players at the table, the ones who know their colors but not yet their letters. It is the game many of us learned turn-taking on, and it still does that job gently for a new generation of three-year-olds.
