How it plays

Each turn is a flick of the spinner and a count along the numbered path. Land at the foot of a ladder, where a good deed is pictured, and your pawn climbs ahead; stop at the top of a chute and down you slide. Everyone keeps going until one player reaches the top of the board first.

We keep this on the shelf for the very youngest players — ages 3 and up, two to four at a time. Nobody needs to read, so preschoolers can play on their own terms while quietly practicing counting and number recognition.
