Before the first roll
Quick answers to the questions we hear most, sorted by topic. If yours is not here, write to contact@hasbrogames.co.
Can I buy a game directly on this site?
No. We do not take orders or payments here. Each game has a button that opens its listing at the retailer, where you complete the purchase.
Why might the price on the listing differ from the one shown here?
Prices are set by the retailer and can change at any time. We refresh ours regularly, but the listing always shows the current price.
How do I find games that are on sale?
Open all games and switch on the sale filter. It shows the boxes the retailer has marked down at the moment.
Who do I contact about my order?
The retailer where you placed it. They have your order, payment and tracking details; we do not.
How many games are in the closet?
Right now there are 312 games across 11 shelves, from preschool games to Avalon Hill strategy titles.
What is the difference between an edition and an expansion?
An edition is a complete game you can play out of the box. An expansion, such as a HeroQuest quest pack or a Monopoly add-on, needs the base game.
Which games work for just two players?
Connect 4, Battleship and Guess Who? are made for two, and Monopoly Deal and Scrabble play well with two. Use the players filter on all games to see more.
Do electronic games need batteries?
Yes. Some include demo batteries and others ask you to supply your own. The listing details say which type and how many.
What does the age on the box mean?
It is the youngest age the game is designed for, based on small parts, reading level and complexity. Our guide to choosing by age explains more.
Are your games safe for children under 3?
Many games contain small parts that are a choking hazard and are not for children under 3. Always follow the age grade and warnings on the box.
Which games are for adults only?
A few party games, including Taboo Uncensored, Truth or Drink and Fear Pong, are made for adults. The age grade is shown on each game card.
What is a good game for mixed ages?
Games graded 6+ such as Connect 4, Sorry! and Trouble are simple enough for young players and still competitive for adults.
A piece is missing from my new game. What now?
Check the contents list and under the insert, then contact the retailer through your order page for a replacement or exchange. See missing a piece for each case.
Can I return a game I have already opened?
That depends on the retailer's return policy for your order. Their order page will tell you what is eligible and for how long.
