Unlike the territory maps elsewhere in the series, this battlefield is a hex grid, so you maneuver infantry, tanks and artillery space by space through the Ardennes. Keeping units supplied is central, and ground gained or held decides who comes out on top.
Choose it for a dedicated evening with one worthy opponent. A full game takes about four hours and is aimed at players fourteen and older, whether you're a series veteran who missed the original printing or a newcomer curious about this campaign.
This is a really fun game. I liked it better than Axis and Allies D-Day. I am a fan of the series and really enjoy these two player games. My son and I are playing Axis and Allies Guadalcanal this afternoon and we love that one too. This is my second copy of the game because the first got ruined years ago (water leak). I waited for years for it to come back into print and rebought it, so that’s the best review I can give.
My kids collect these games ! They are over the moon with everyone of the Allies & Axis games !
