How it plays

As in classic Risk, you reinforce your territories, attack neighbors with dice and fortify before passing the turn. In the Godstorm rules, each culture — Greek, Celtic, Babylonian, Norse or Egyptian — can also call on warrior gods and primal forces to tip a battle, and the war spills from the earthly map into the underworld.

It suits families and groups aged ten and up who love mythology as much as conquest. Two to five can play, and because the box supports both the classic rules and the Godstorm variant, you can ease newcomers in before unleashing the gods.
