How it plays

Four aquatic factions, each with its own strengths, pair off into two alliances at the start, and neither the partnerships nor the starting positions are fixed from game to game. From there it plays like Axis & Allies under the sea: buy units, move them across the map, and fight for territory, coordinating every push with your teammate.

It needs exactly four people, so save it for a night when the whole group can make it. Veterans of Axis & Allies will feel at home right away, and at about ninety minutes it fits an evening without taking it over.
