What's in the box

  • 140 updated wooden pieces representing armies and fleets
  • Map of early 1900s Europe with seven Great Powers
  • Quick Start Rules included for faster teaching
  • No dice, so outcomes come from negotiation and strategy
  • For 2 to 7 players, ages 12 and up

How it plays

Each round begins with talk. Players slip away to strike deals, then everyone secretly writes orders for their armies and fleets and reveals them at the same moment. Moves resolve by support alone, with no dice, so a province falls only if you brought more help than the defender. Whether your ally actually sent that help is another matter.

Set aside about four hours and gather up to seven players aged twelve and over; it's at its best with a full table. The Quick Start Rules make teaching easier, so newcomers can get to the scheming sooner.
