Children take turns matching their letter tiles to the squares, scoring points as they go and moving a character token up the score track. Once every tile is placed, the highest score wins. Flip the board over and players build words of their own.
We like it for the years when reading is just clicking, starting around age 5. Two to four can play, and because the advanced side is waiting on the back, the game keeps pace as spelling skills grow.
We bought this fun inexpensive game to entertain our 6 year old granddaughter. She quickly grasped the concept-and challenged us to a competitive game. This game is well designed and a blast for families with children ages 5-8 years old. This game is a winner! Game time doesn’t exceed one hour and is suitable for kitchen table play or on the family room floor.
My kids and I love this game. My little ones like the side with the words already one it, add it helps them build reading and spelling confidence, and my older kids like the other side that is like regular scrabble, because it lets them be creative and make their own words. Fun times!
Great game to play with kids as young as 5 and have fun as a family.
