Set the timer, then hurry to place each of the nine pieces into the spot on the tray that matches its outline: dinosaur, flower, duck, fish, heart, cloud, turtle, moon, and sun. Finish in time and you are safe. Run out of time and the tray pops everything back out. The player who fits all nine fastest wins.
Preschoolers ages 4 and up can play alone to beat their own time or take turns with friends. Along the way they practice finding, placing, and naming shapes, which is why this game works so nicely in a classroom too.
The Hasbro Gaming Perfection Game has been a big hit with our 4-year-old. I love that it doesn’t need batteries and only has a few pieces, so it’s easy to set up and not overwhelming. The game is compact enough to toss into a backpack, which makes it great for travel or bringing along to keep a child entertained. Best of all, he absolutely loves racing against the timer—it keeps him engaged and excited every time he plays. A fun, simple game that’s perfect for preschoolers.
