What's in the box

  • Five assembled, unpainted figures: three spined crabs and two tanuki
  • Two army cards, one for each common squad
  • Figures mounted on brown bases, ready for painting
  • Requires a Heroscape Master Set; compatible with every expansion
  • For 2 to 4 players, ages 14 and up

How it plays

Each squad has its own army card, and you can field one or both. Activate the Molten Crustaceans and they hold ground around lava fields, shrugging off terrain that would hurt others. Activate the Tanuki Tricksters and they dart around the map causing trouble. Because both are common squads, they slot easily beside the armies you already own.

The five figures come assembled but unpainted, which makes this a nice pick for hobbyists as well as competitors. It's for ages fourteen and up, plays with two to four people, and battles run one to two hours.
