Step into the role of Miss Scarlett, Colonel Mustard, Mayor Green, Chef White, Solicitor Peacock or Professor Plum. Move from room to room, suggest a suspect, weapon and location, and note which cards opponents are forced to show you. Clue cards speed up the sleuthing by shaking loose extra information. First to name all three correctly solves the case.
The story and cast have been richly reworked, with backstories worth reading aloud, while the deduction at the heart of it stays the same. It suits two to six players aged 8 and up, and the weighty metal weapons make it feel like an occasion.
It is more fun with more than 2. It was fun playing again as an adult. It is very nostalgic. It is easy to play, instructions are straightforward. I love this game.
It’s the game you know and love. It’s the game you grew up playing and it’s well worth the money. It’s an easy game to pick up though the instructions aren’t the most well written. There are plenty of online tutorials if you really need them though. The game is durable cardboard and the cards should last. Our 13 year old loves this game, a younger child could play it as well. Maybe as young as 8. I have fun with it and I’m almost 40.
We bought this game for our middle grandson. He loves board games. This game brings me back to when I was his age. So much fun!! I know he will have just as much fun as we did.
