How it plays
Give the covered grid a good shake so the sixteen letter cubes settle into place, then start the timer. Everyone writes down as many words as they can find by linking letters that touch — sideways, up and down, or diagonally. When time runs out, compare lists. Words that more than one player found are crossed off, and longer words score more points.
We think of this as the head-to-head word game for people who say they only have five minutes. It needs little table space and almost no set-up, which makes it a good warm-up for a longer game night or a quick contest between two readers.
